Engineering Transport, LLC

Who we are

Engineering is the art of putting science into practice. Engineering Transport takes the science of materials, mathematics and mechanics and applies them to practical problems using advanced computer methods like finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and kinematic or motion analysis software. The behavior of parts and assemblies can easily be simulated with these tools to gain insight into their behaviour under loads, both static and dynamic.

But without some way to represent the geometry of a part in 3D it would be difficult visualize and analyse parts and assemblies of parts. Enter computer aided design or CAD. Modern CAD tools like SolidWorks allow the engineering to work in a simulated real world, but with the difference that changes are generally quite easy to make when compared to making an entire machine for testing. In addition, CAD allows checking interference, center of gravity, parts count and a host of other tasks in addition to making rapid work of drawings and sketches. In some cases CAD even makes it possible to go from art to part, whether a mold, rapid prototype or geometry for CNC processing.

Engineering Transport got its name when the principal transported fellow engineers to work because of the long boring commute. In that capacity Engineering Transport transported engineers rapidly, punctually and safely day after day.

Where we are

Engineering Transport, LLC is located in north central Indiana near a major metropolitan hub of South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart and Niles. This is only two hours from Chicago and three hours from Indianapolis and Detroit. Locals call the area Michiana.

What we do

There are times when you have a tough problem to solve and you don't have the people, resources or time to tackle it alone.
